All Students who Scored C+ and above in KCSE 2019 will Join University

school reopening in september

Every student who scored a minimum of C+ in last year’s KCSE examination will get a KUCCPS placement in a public university.

A total of 125,499 students who attained the required grade in KCSE are guaranteed to join university. This revelation by KUCCPS on Monday eliminates fears that the Department of Education was planning to increase the cut-off points to achieve a manageable size of student population at the university level.

The decision was made after universities declared that they would accommodate a total of 193,878 students, which is sufficient to accommodate all the students who qualified for university placement in last year’s KCSE examination.

Exactly 563,479 students who scored below C+ in the KCSE exam will get a chance to apply for various diploma, certificate and artisan courses offered in colleges and TVET institutions through KUCCPS portal.

Following the announcement, KUCCPS will immediately open its portal for students who would wish to apply for a university placement to do so immediately. If you did your KCSE exam last year and would wish to apply for a university programme through KUCCPS online, kindly check how you can do so here.

The deadline for the online application and revision of courses on KUCCPS portal will be on Monday the 9th of March 2020.
