Butula Boys' High School is a national school in Busia County. It is one of the recent schools to be given a national school status. The school was established in 1964 with a population of 45 students who started their studies at St. pauls high school, amukura in form 1b (b for butula).
Later in 1965, the class was relocated to the current Butula Boys high school at form two with the by then deputy principal being promoted to be the first principal of Butula High school. Currently, the school has a total number of 38 teaching staffs.
