In support of the Government’s initiative to develop a pool of young talents for the Kenyan Labor Market, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) invites applications from qualified candidates to fill 1,995 teacheer internship positions.
The posts include 1,038 for primary schools and 957 for secondary schools.
The Teacher Internship Program is a one (1) year programme meant to equip and sustain competencies of persons entering teaching service.
The programme targets unemployed registered teachers to be assigned to learning institutions where their teaching experience will be enhanced through mentorship, coaching and exposure to practical teaching experience.
To qualify, an applicant must at the time of application meet the following basic requirements:
- Be a Kenyan citizen
- registered with TSC
- Holder of a P1 certificate for primary school and Diploma or Degree in Education for Secondary School
- Have original academic and professional certificates.
- Should not have a previous employment with the TSC
- Ready to be posted to any public educational institution in Kenya
- Muse have a Personal Insurance cover
Successful candidates will be eligible for monthly stipend of 15,000 for primary school teachers and 20,000 for secondary school teachers.
After internship, interns will be awarded an internship certificate.
